Topic: How to make a name for yourself in nutrition: building a business, entrepreneurship, and branding yourself

Alexis Joseph, MS, RD, LD is the founder of Hummusapien™ and Co-Founder of Alchemy. Hummusapien™ is a multifaceted food, wellness, and lifestyle brand she created in 2011 in order to inspire others to eat happy and live fully. 

Alexis uses her passion for cooking and wellness as fuel to help others ignite a more freeing, happy, and wholesome relationship with food. Through her years of professional experience coaching individual clients, consulting with food brands, and conceptualizing restaurants, she combines approachable recipes with nutrition education to bring peace and joy back to the table.

When she’s not blogging, she’s at Alchemy, an innovative health food concept with two locations in Columbus that she co-founded with A&R Creative Group in 2014.  She oversees business development, menu creation, cafe operations, marketing, nutrition services, and beyond. When not functioning as a restaurant operator or food blogger, she’s working with women who struggle with disordered eating to help them ditch dieting and live a nourished, full, delicious life.
