Speaker Biographies

KatyKaty Meassick is in her fifth year as the Browns performance dietitian. Meassick oversees all nutritional needs of the team throughout the season, including practices, workouts, game days and travel. She also focuses in the areas of nutrition education and programming, as well as managing the training table, players’ body composition, individual counseling and supplement evaluation. Meassick came to the Browns from Florida State University, where she served as the director of sports nutrition from 2014-16, overseeing the nutrition needs of all Florida State student athletes. Prior to FSU, she spent time at Arizona State University as the program’s registered dietitian. From 2011-13, Meassick worked as the team dietitian at the University of Pennsylvania after spending two years at the University of Maryland as an assistant athletic trainer.  Meassick is a registered dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is a member of the Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition dietetic practice group and the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association.  Meassick is also a board certified specialist in sports dietetics and a certified athletic trainer with the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers.  A native of Tampa, Fla., Meassick holds a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of South Florida and a master’s degree in nutrition science from Syracuse University.

ErinErin Kratzer-Kelly is the current consulting sports dietitian for the Cincinnati Bengals (4 seasons), Xavier University Athletics (3 years), and Miami University Athletics (3.5 years). From these positions, Erin has counseled hundreds of athletes on topics ranging from body composition changes, healthy eating, fueling for specific sports and performance, pre/post training nutrition plans, hydration plans, gastrointestinal stress/disorders related to or exacerbated by training, Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) and disordered eating habits/Eating Disorders. Additionally, Erin gives sport-specific presentations to individual collegiate teams, assists coaches with planning travel meals, and conducts grocery store tours with athletes.  Erin started her own company, ComplEAT Sports Nutrition, LLC, in 2017, to counsel individual athletes looking for a detailed nutrition package, to serve as a consultant to universities and professional organizations, and to provide team talks/presentations to club, high school and other collegiate sports teams.  Erin completed her dietetic internship from Teachers College, Columbia University, where she also completed her master’s degree in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. She received her bachelor’s in nutrition from The Ohio State University.
