Alana Fayman earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Pittsburgh in April 2017. She completed her dietetic internship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in July 2018 and recently graduated with her Master’s in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. Alana is also the recipient of the Karen A. Porcelli scholarship from the Greater Cleveland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. During her dietetic internship and Master’s program, Alana worked with the two transplant dietitians at University Hospitals on a research project looking at the outcomes of patients who were denied kidney transplant evaluation due to excessive BMI. Alana hopes to find a career in the food industry, particularly in product development or regulatory.
