Outstanding Dietetic Educator

Holly Estes Doetsch, MS, RD, LD

Holly Estes Doetsch is a Clinical Instructor in the Medical Dietetics division at The Ohio State University where she teaches several medical nutrition therapy courses in the Coordinated Program in Medical Dietetics and Master of Nutrition and Dietetics program. She frequently uses patient simulation, which serves as a bridge from learning in the classroom to patient care settings, and case-based learning strategies to train future dietitians. Her research interests and areas of expertise are in micronutrient assessment and management, nutrition support, and clinical pediatric nutrition. Holly also has clinical roles in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition and as a LEND (Leadership and Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) faculty mentor.
