We are happy to announce that Healthcare Foodservice Management (HFM)Foodservice Management)President, Mary Angela Miller, has just been awarded the coveted Silver Plate Award! Mary, Administrative Director for Ohio State University Hospital, joins other leading foodservice operators as part of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Associations (IFMA) exclusive 2008 International Silver Plate Society.

"There are two communities within our industry that share in this recognition, namely my OSU and HFM colleagues. I'm grateful to OSU, particularly our administration and my Nutrition Services Management team, for their faith, support and investment over time," Miller said. "Also, to my HFM colleagues. We continue to raise the bar for healthcare foodservice, and then help each other clear it. "

For 54 years, the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) has sponsored the Gold and Silver Plate Awards program. The awards continue to pay tribute to excellence by recognizing the most outstanding and innovative talents in nine segments of foodservice operations.

A panel of judges, which included the 2007 Silver Plate Society inductees and editors of industry trade magazines, selected this years winners. Miller earned the Silver Plate Award for the healthcare category. This years Silver Plate winners will be honored at the Gala Gold & Silver Plate Awards celebration in Chicago, IL, May 19, where one of them will be named the 2008 Gold Plate winner.
