Mary Weiler

Columbus District President

Mary is a native of Chicago, IL, but has lived in Columbus, Ohio for 28 years.  She received a B.A. from Colgate University, a doctorate in Biochemistry and a dietetics degree from the Ohio State University. After completing her RD requirements, she accepted a position working at Fairfield Medical Center as a clinical dietitian. The following year she transitioned to Abbott Nutrition in Advocacy and Education as a consultant on outreach projects involving the older adult population. Projects included contributing to website content, assisting Avalere on modification of the MQii website, and a research project in collaboration with the NIH in assessing RDNs awareness and potential role in screening for Frailty in the older adult population. Currently, she is working at Abbott as a Nutrition Scientist in Pediatric Clinical Nutrition collaborating on new products in infant formula. She participated on the Columbus Dietetic Association Board as the Council for Professional Issues Chair from 2015-2017 and is the incoming President of the Board. Other nutrition related volunteer positions include helping Local Matters as a Harvest Ball Committee member and as a Cooking Matters and a Wellness Matters nutrition instructor.
