Special Project

Ashley Braun, MS, RD

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a client-centered approach to counseling, education, and conversation that is commonly employed to help individuals overcome challenging behavior. The objective of this project is to test the feasibility and acceptability of a remote MI training designed specifically for registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs). This training will include the core components of MI, as well as aspects unique to challenges and opportunities faced by the RDN. Results will inform future programs, which will serve to advance the training and expertise of RDNs nationwide.

Ashley Braun is a Clinical Research Dietitian and doctoral student at The Ohio State University.
