Carrie Hamady for CPI Elect

Why should OAND members vote for you. Not only include your past but also include what you can bring to the position.

Through my role as CPI-Elect, I will be committed to assisting the CPI-Chair plan and develop an annual meeting for all credentialed nutrition professionals in Ohio to meet their continuing education needs. I believe it is important to not only stay up-to-date on best practices, but to also be aware of cutting-edge technologies and research in the field. I will work with the committee to recruit and secure a variety of speakers across the span of our profession that represent a diverse and inclusive group of individuals. As a dietetics educator, I am continually reviewing new research and speaking with students about the need to be a lifelong learner. Therefore, I will bring this passion for learning in order to lead Ohio’s nutrition professionals into their second century of practice. Equally vital to our field is the need to be cognizant of changes in state and national policies aimed at moving our profession forward. I am a strong advocate for our profession and will continue to do so through the scope of this position. Thank you for considering me and for taking the time to vote in this election!

Something personal about yourself that you would like to share.

I have been an RD for about 27 years and I still love this profession now as much, if not more, than I did when I graduated. I have three children. Along with my husband, I have enjoyed raising healthy eaters who love diverse foods and enjoy new adventures. In our spare time, we enjoy traveling to National Parks in our camper, running and biking in our Northwest Ohio Metroparks, and just spending time together as family. My favorite sport is basketball and I love March Madness!
