Emerging Dietetic Leader

Alison Ruffin, MHA, RDN, LD, CLC

Alison Ruffin is the Clinical Nutrition and Lactation Manager at the Dayton Children’s Hospital. Alison has worked at the Dayton Children’s since 2012 and has been in a nutrition leadership role since 2017. Alison completed her bachelor's in dietetics at Miami University in 2011, her Master of Health Administration through Ohio University in 2020 and is also a Certified Lactation Counselor. Alison is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Quality Leader Alliance, has been a formal quality improvement coach at Dayton Children’s hospital since 2017, and developed and lead an interdisciplinary Nutrition Support Quality Improvement Team for six years, remaining actively involved in that group today. Alison’s leadership passions include encouraging ongoing development of clinical nutrition and lactation team members and quality improvement.
