Sharon Doughten

Secretary

Associate Professor, Dietetic Technology, Cuyahoga Community College.  Sharon Doughten, MS, RDN, LD has dedicated her life to nutrition education and working towards expanding the preventative role that nutrition offers towards health for all groups. To strengthen her education skills in the current environment of college education, Sharon has completed an Online Teaching and Learning certificate and completed master’s coursework in the specialty of Effective Reading skills. She has completed course-work to become a Quality Matters peer reviewer and has one course that meets the Quality Matters standards.  Sharon has been active with the CDR practice audit national task force and as a Registration Examination panel member for the Dietetic Technicians. She believes strongly in the role of the community college to help strengthen communities and bridge gaps in education. Sharon has served the Greater Cleveland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in many roles, including president.
