Jackie Geitz for CPI Elect

Why should OAND members vote for you. Not only include your past but also include what you can bring to the position.

Being involved with the Academy is something I have always gravitated towards. I’ve been on the board for the Columbus Dietetic Association for 8 consecutive years and would like to bring what I’ve learned to the state level. During my term as President of CDA, our board has diligently focused on investing in our fundraising, speaking engagements, and membership. Embracing the opportunity to reinvent ourselves has allowed our organization to provide variety and, in return, increase membership. As a clinical instructor at Ohio State University, I’ve learned how to effectively leverage resources to provide unique and diverse learning opportunities for students. As CPI chair, I plan to bring a spirit of innovation while honoring our past successes and traditions. Being newer to the dietetic field gives me the chance to view our organization with a fresh perspective and use that to continue building what we’ve already worked to improve.  It is crucial that we continue to provide our dietetic community with the education, tools and resources needed to advance individually, and for us to collectively advance professionally. My genuine passion for developing and growing our profession, whether it be students or already established dietetic professionals, inspires me to be involved in any aspect that I can be.
